Montricoux

Montricoux, a small village bordered by the Aveyron river, is a former stronghold of the Templars which is very popular with lovers of old stones. You can stroll through the medieval village admiring the many half-timbered houses, visit the castle and the Marcel Lenoir museum. Other curiosities and elements of the heritage of Montricoux: the church of Saint Pierre and its bell tower, the church of Saint Laurent, the mill still in operation and the washhouses or the Sacré Coeur which now houses the media library.

Two small hiking trails start from the village which is also crossed by la vélo route des Gorges of the Aveyron which connects Montauban to Laguépie.
